POST WAR YEARS
Coming soon: Richard Garrity's remarkable twenty-five year log quest to find those that helped him, so he could give his thanks.
In 1969, Richard Garrity and fellow member of the Royal Air Forces Escaping Society, Harvey Firestone, (far Right) meet their old Helpers for the first time since the war.
In 1971, as President of the Escaping Society, Garrity presented commemoration plaques to towns that assisted him during his evasion.
A solemn ceremony honouring the war dead. Everyone one lost a friend, sibling, parent or child in that war. Garrity lost his brother and his crew.
