Henk Geerdink arrives in Montreal in November 1970 for a six month stay. My sister, Maureen, standing next to my dad, had accompanied Henk from Holland. Henk would stay with us for six months.
My father was offering the town of Neer, Holland, thanks for their assistance when he was shot down. The town put on quite the reception for us.
On the left is a niece of a Dutch Resistance fighter, and to my left is Annalise, sister of Henk.
in 1984, Henk Jr and his father were guests of the RAFES. Despite my wife Colette being very pregnant, she made the trip to Quebec City for our reunion.
